    Even though it may not seem to be one of the most known names in the Whisky industry, it is certainly one that is rich with a deep history that dates back to the early 1800's. In 1987 a man by the name of Tomas E. Bulleit Jr, finally got the chance to fulfill a dream that was set for by his family generations earlier. After leaving a successful law practice, Thomas risked everything to follow in the steps of his great-great-grandfather Augustus Bulleit, who made a notorious rye whiskey in his day.

    Just like Jack Daniels Tennessee Whiskey and Jack Daniels Single Barrel, this brother is also charcoal mellowed before taking its plunge into the barrel. The main difference is Gentleman jack receives an additional "blessing" during its mellowing process once it has reached maturity which ultimately gives it its amazing smoothness. Gentleman Jack is known to be a full-bodied spirit with fruits and spices extra taste and a silky and warm finish for your pallet.

    Wild Turkey has excellence that has been passed on for decades dating all the way back to 1855. They have handed down, not only the basic ingredients to make the perfect batch of bourbon, but the process from which it can be made. Wild Turkey uses water that come directly from the Kentucky River and uses limestone in their filtering process to ensure they remove as many impurities as possible. They have even stuck to the same yeast strain that is specific to Wild Turkey, which has been used for over 60  years.

    Ah the Finer Things in Life!

    In order to blend a bottle of this 21 Year Old masterpiece, the Balvenie product is poured into port casks, or pipes, which have previously been the storage units for fine port wines in the past. This enables the flavours or the fine wine to remain preserved in the wood, while not over powering the natural flavours of the whisky. It is also chill-filtered from the start  and bottled at a high strength alcohol than the finished product. Enabling the impurities to burn off and have the final product remain at the right alcohol consistency.

  • What's the Difference?

    It may be known to some but what really is the difference between Scotch, Whisky, and Bourbon?

    Now even though most people think they may know the difference or possibly could say "I could tell if I tasted them," but what really is the difference between a quality Scotch, Whisky and Bourbon? Now by law, in order for a Whisky to be a Bourbon, its mash or the mixture of grains and other chemicals, must contain a minimum of 51% corn. Even though other ingredients like barley, rye or even wheat, are involve, it is crucial to have the right percentage of components in order to reach the right recipe. The mash also must be distilled at 160 proof or less and placed into its holding barrels at 125 proof or less. Lastly, it is important to note that the mixture must also contain no additives in and must be aged in a charred oak barrel.
