American Highlight: Wild Turkey

Wild Turkey has excellence that has been passed on for decades dating all the way back to 1855. They have handed down, not only the basic ingredients to make the perfect batch of bourbon, but the process from which it can be made. Wild Turkey uses water that come directly from the Kentucky River and uses limestone in their filtering process to ensure they remove as many impurities as possible. They have even stuck to the same yeast strain that is specific to Wild Turkey, which has been used for over 60  years.

 The spirit was originally crafted by one of the most famous and well known distillers in Kentucky and was originally named "Wild Turkey 81". Since its inception, the bourbon has aged in American White Oak barrels with the deepest char possible.

"With notes of sweet vanilla, pear and hints of spice, this bourbon finishes with a flavor that is full and rich, whether enjoyed straight or with a mixer."
